Cockpit looking forward

We have main strength bulkhead number 4, the farthest away from you, and main strength bulkhead number 8, the closest to you, bolted and epoxied in place. After these two bulkheads are in place, you can raise the floats up and install them on the ends of the bulkheads. I thought this was going to be a real bear to do, but with a couple of hydraulic jacks and lots of patience, it was easy. The float alignment was all taken care of in the design of the float and how it mated with the main strength bulkheads. Easy, easy, easy.

Intermediate bulkhead number 6 is being installed as well. This bulkhead separates the cabin fore and aft.

The stbd cabin side is being slid into place. This is a bit tricky as it is very flimsy in certain spots. You have to cut slots up from the bottom halfway to the top for the bulkheads to extend through. You have to slide the whole affair down over all the bulkheads, wiggling and jiggling until it fits.
