Shelter Island Marina projects

Shelter Island had all sorts of projects going on. There were about 40 boats in B yard. Most were repair or refits; some were rebuilds and a few were new builds. Here we have a 35-foot monohull, a 32-foot Kelsall catamaran, a 30-foot Piver trimaran, and a 28-foot powerboat. The monohull and cat were new builds and the other two were refits.

This proved to be a community. A community like Triangle Road, only more people, and maybe a little less eccentric. Mind you, we had a few down right nuts in that yard. Nothing dangerous, but really, really strange. I guess that is one of the great things about this life style…the diversity. I am sure I could write a book just on the characters in B yard of Shelter Island Marina.
