Head area

Standing in the cockpit looking forward. The notches have been cut in the top of the main strength bulkhead for the cabin top stringers. Forward of the main bulkhead, you see the dressing room and further forward, the shower and head area. Later I added sheets of thin ply to the inside of the shower area to give a smooth surface to the walls.

On the stbd side you will see the bunk bottom for the forward berth. This is the material from Boeing Aircraft in Seattle. It has a honeycomb core with skins of fiberglass. It is very light and stiff. I drilled holes in a 4-inch pattern for ventilation under the mattress.

The vanity top forward of bulkhead number 4 is made from the same material. I managed to get quite a few sheets of this stuff, so I used it for all the flat surfaces in the boat, bunks, floors, counter tops, etc.
